THIS WEEK:

thursday - come out to my monthly dj night that i share with a couple of dear friends, the rag!  thursday night, 10pm-2am, 700 club.  we dance, we jam, we hang.


also on thursday - before you head to the rag, you should head on down to l'etage (6th and bainbridge) to see gildon works play.  this show is also a going away party for two of the bandmates, also two of my close friends, stacey and dave, who are moving to LA.

saturday - come celebrate blood feathers' release on philebrity's record label at jb's, with bc camplight and josh olmstead band.

and finally, mark your calendars for a special date in february.  luck in the valley: the jack rose memorial and record release party will be held at the latvian society on february 13th.  doors are at 7pm, 531 n 7th st, tickets are $18 (21+).

Jack Rose passed away suddenly at home in Philadelphia on December 5. He was widely regarded as the most profound exponent of acoustic guitar playing of his generation. Jack grew to be loved and admired by a great many people through his live performances, electric personality, profound cooking skills and a general mastery in the art of friendship. This concert is a release party for his new album Luck In The Valley and an occasion to celebrate and remember the good Dr. Ragtime. The artists performing were all dear friends of Jack's and admired by him musically.
