back to it.

2010 came in and has already begun kicking my ass.  in a good way, but it has kept me from doing anything on here for a bit.  too long, if i am honest with myself.  granted, i haven't posted anything since before christmas, but i was already planning at that time to take a few days technology free; instead spending my time making dinners with my man, entertaining house guests from afar, opening presents (spa day AND BOTH a jiffy upright steamer and a portable one!!), watching episode after episode of arrested development, and generally layin around, doing whatever the snow outside told me to do.  but so far this year has hit me like a brick.  everything stops for a few days before the first of the year, but when it all comes back, it's a slap in the face that doesn't really hurt so much as it shakes you awake and makes you realize life is going on and you better do something about it.  as H, or horatio caine for those of you not familiar, would say (while lifting his shades so gracefully onto the bridge of his nose) "reality...has become.........REAL".

i've recently come across two sites i've spent way too much time looking at.  if you have some spare time, i highly recommend checking out black sheep and prodigal sons, 

a website full of stuff if you bought for me i would steam any item of clothing you needed the wrinkles taken out of for the rest of your life, as well as monki, 

 

which, besides having super cute stuff for sale, is an incredibly visually pleasing site, with lots of little places to surf to and adorable little characters to meet.  i really wish i could speak whichever swedish language this is.
