...and in the end, we get it all.

just watched casino (on VHS, duh) for the 50th time today - and i could watch it 50 more times.  sooooo good.   now to get the entire godfather trilogy, also on VHS...

s'goin on.

this weekend, besides it being the last-minute-dash-to-feed-the-corporate-monsters-our-hard-earned-money-in-order-to-secure-holiday-gifts, there are also a couple of happenins in philly...come out to support your friends and mine in an evening of fine fellows carroling for us followed by a full hangover day of shopping at the punk rock flea market (i've got a booth...please help support this unemployed lady).

first up, the silver ages...
Tickets are $13 dollars and may be purchased exclusively  here.

then, on sunday, feed your hangover and then feed us what's in your wallet at the PUNK ROCK FLEA MARKET (and no, it's not all punk related goodies):

blue.

i want one of dallas shaw's paintings on wallpaper.  gorgeous.

Boudicca's new fragrance "Wode" shows up as bright blue on the skin, but then fades to invisible as the wearer wears it, and only the scent remains.

the 25th and the 26th in our house.

this year, the night of the 25th into the early hours of the 26th means a lot to adam and i.  at that time last year, he and i met, made small talk, made out, and consequently began dating, and have been together ever since.  whenever i am feeling extra loverly (which is quite often) i call him my favorite christmas present ever.  so, as it's our one year anniversary, our first full christmas day together, and we are holiday orphans once again, this year we are going to make a christmas dinner for us (and anyone else who is an orphan that night in philly).  we've been throwing around food ideas, but after checking out recipes and the steps involved to making one's first turkey or ham (no way), i'm fully fearful of taking on too much.  i'm definitely no cook.  this is what i'd like to sit down to christmas evening, with a few changes:

so the steak would stay relatively the same, but the mashers would become garlic roasted red potatoes:

the green beans would morph into asparagus:

i would add some roasted butternut squash with bacon and apples:

and we'll definitely have a few glasses of this:

dessert will probably be some ben and jerry's, hopefully one of these:

yum!
