how to give.

feeling generous this season?  here are some ideas to give to those who are in need:
  • pajamaprogram.org - $10 can put some PJs on children in shelters so they don't have to sleep in their clothes.
  • at icouldbe.org you can be a struggling student's mentor.
  • send a holiday card to soldiers oversees at redcross.org/email/saf - they're free!
  • $30 to madre.org can let a rural Afghan woman make a lifesaving call if threatened by violence.
  • are you a knitter?  send squares to warmupamerica.org and battered women's shelters will receive afghans.
  • at america.org just $1 will give a hungry family 9 lbs of food.
  • trivia addicts and puppy lovers - go to freekibble.com - every answer sends 10 pieces of dog food to an animal shelter in need.
  • $25=malaria medication to 10 children at savethechildren.org.
  • regifters - give the gift cards you'll never use to plasticjungle.com.
  • group giving - have a potluck.  then send the $35 y'all saved to strength.org to feed a child for a month.
  • and finally, starve a landfill by deeming this month a no wrapping paper month by wrapping your gifts in newspaper, butcher paper, magazines, whatever you have lying around your house!!
p.s.  i google image searched "child in need" and this is what came up:

xoxo.
